These are pools of funds which are collected from investors and managed by an asset management company on their behalf for investing in different instruments such as stocks, bonds, Govt. securities and other asset classes with a hope of providing better returns to investors by diversifying their risk by investing in different asset classes.<\/p>\n<p>Who can invest in Mutual Funds?<br \/>\nFollowing are the people which can invest in mutual funds:-<br \/>\nPeople living in India that is Indian residents.<br \/>\nPeople not living in India that is Non-resident Indians (NRI)<br \/>\nAll people who are of Indian Origin (POI)<br \/>\nALL Indian public and private sector companies.<br \/>\nFor minors, their parents or guardians can invest on their behalf.<br \/>\nHindu Undivided Family(HUF)<br \/>\nSole Proprietorship Firms that are firms with a single owner.<br \/>\nCooperative societies<br \/>\nPartnerships firms<br \/>\nCharitable or Religious Trusts<br \/>\nTrustee and Asset Management Company<br \/>\nRegistered Societies<br \/>\nAir force, navy and army Institutions<br \/>\nScientific and\/or industrial research organizations<\/p>\n<p>Documents Required<br \/>\nFirst of all, every person needs to fill a Know your customer application form (KYC). Along with that following documents are required by different parties involved:-<br \/>\n1) For IndividualProof of Identity<br \/>\nThe first and foremost thing for an individual investor is the proof of identity. Following things can be included in it:<br \/>\nPhoto PAN Card<br \/>\nIn case of Non-Photo PAN Card in addition to copy of PAN Card, any one of the following can be included<br \/>\nPassport copy\/Driving License\/ Voter ID \/Bank Photo Pass Book.<\/p>\n<p>Proof of Address (any one of the following):<br \/>\nLatest Telephone Bill, which could be Landline\/Mobile and it, should not be more than 3 months prior to the date of application.<br \/>\nLatest Electricity Bill (not more than 3 months prior to the date of application).<br \/>\nPassport copy<br \/>\nBank Account Statement (not more than 3 months prior to the date of application).<br \/>\nLatest Demat Account statement (not more than 3 months prior to the date of application).<br \/>\nVoter ID.<br \/>\nDriving License.<br \/>\nRation Card.<br \/>\nRent Agreement.<\/p>\n<p>2) For Hindu Undivided Family (HUF)<br \/>\nUnits can only be held in the name of Karta on behalf of the HUF<br \/>\nFor proof of identity Copy of pan Card is a must.<br \/>\nProof of address (HUF)<br \/>\nLatest Bank Passbook (not more than 3 months prior to the date of application).<br \/>\nBank account statement (not more than 3 months prior to the date of application)\u2026<\/p>\n<p>3) Non-individuals (PAN Mandatory) Companies \/ Bodies Corporate (Certified copy of the following):<br \/>\nCertificate of incorporation.<br \/>\nMemorandum &#038; Articles of Association that is MOA and AOA.<br \/>\nApproval of the Board of Directors (BOD) authorizing investment in mutual funds.<br \/>\nPower of Attorney(POA) granted to its managers, officers or employees to transact business on its behalf<\/p>\n<p>4)\u00a0Partnership firms (Certified copy of the following):<br \/>\nCertificates of Registration, in case of registered Partnership Firms.<br \/>\nAny other officially valid documents in respect of holding a power of attorney to transact.<br \/>\n5)\u00a0Trusts, foundations, NGO\u2019s Charitable Bodies, Clubs\/Mutual Fund Schemes (Certified copy of the following):<br \/>\nCertificate of Registration, in case of registered Trusts.<br \/>\nAny other valid documents in respect of holding a power of attorney to transact<br \/>\nOffer Document of the Mutual Fund Scheme.<br \/>\nCertificate of Registration, in case of registered Trusts.<br \/>\nAny other valid documents in respect of holding a power of attorney to transact.<br \/>\nOffer Document of the Mutual Fund Scheme.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How to Invest In Mutual Fund For Short Time Period?
